Coming of age in America in the bloodlust of the war of terror and graduating high school as the real estate market fell apart, I wanted to figure out how society functions. University didn’t really help.

In University, I pursued two majors at the University of California Santa Cruz, one in Economics and the other in Political Science. After graduating, I tried to figure out white collar employment. I mostly failed – most of my money came from food service and manual labor – but I stayed on that grind.

I got some writing gigs, especially for a design firm called H2O Futures, a company that did local design work in San Diego, but was always on a hustle to try to get the money together for a green energy scheme. The writing was fun, but I needed a more 21st-century storytelling technique, so I learned videography.

But I still write. I am vulnerable, I get to the point, sometimes I have some fun with some visual language. That’s it!
